Bundesliga club Union Berlin has been fined a total of 52,500 euros for the misconduct of its fans in the Europa League. The European Football Union (UEFA) announced this decision on Tuesday.
It is about offenses committed by Union fans in games at Sporting Braga and against Union Saint-Gilloise.
The bad incidents in the 1-0 win at Malmö FF from the previous week have not yet been conclusively assessed. The game was interrupted for 20 minutes after a scandal from the Berlin fans and was about to be canceled at times, in which case Union faces a severe penalty.
