“Komet” by Udo Lindenberg and Apache207 is the 10th week in first place in the German single charts. The last time a song was longer at the top was in 2007: DJ Ötzi’s “Ein Stern” stayed there for 11 weeks. The German rock veteran and the rapper can accordingly catch up with the hit star next week. Nathan Evans was also number one for ten weeks with “Wellerman” in 2021.

The German rock hip hop single was released on January 20th. The accompanying music video had more than 1.5 million clicks on YouTube after the first two days. On January 25, a star was even named after the song and has been officially named Comet ever since.

The German chart week

“All Night” by RAF Camera and Luciano follows in the charts. The duo was number one last week and have now had to vacate it again. Also on the “podium” is Miley Cyrus with “Flowers”, followed by Apache’s “Breaking Your Heart”, which is positioned twice in the top 5. This completes Eminem’s “Mockingbird,” which re-entered the charts due to a The Voice Kids performance.

At the albums 20 years after its release, Linkin Park’s “Meteora” ousted Depeche Mode’s “Memento Mori” from number one. Dave Gahan and Martin Gore slip to 4th place. In between are the two newcomers “Morgens um Vier” by Element of Crime and “Interludium” by the metal band Powerwolf. Herbert Grönemeyer and his record “Das ist los” conclude the five most listened to albums.
