“We want to keep improving”
The game is sportingly meaningless for the youngsters of the German Football Association after qualifying for the European Championship. Di Salvo and his coaching team therefore want to use the game with a view to preparing for the tournament in June 2023 in Georgia and Romania. “This is a good time to keep improving and keep working on things”said the 42-year-old.
In the international game windows in autumn, the team then wants to test against the top nations. “This is important so that the team knows where it is‘ said Di Salvo, who will select a diverse squad for the 2023 tournament. “It’s a nice task to evaluate which players suit us best and who then deserves to be there.”he said.
The EURO 2023 finals will take place in Romania and Georgia (June 9th to July 2nd, 2023).
