“Eintracht Stadium – here we come”: Famous faces will soon be visiting Braunschweig. The German U21 national team is in the Lion City at the start of the year.

Braunschweig becomes an international match stage: The German U21 national team starts the new year in the Lion City. On Friday, March 27th, the DFB youth team’s European Championship qualifier against Northern Ireland will take place in the Eintracht Stadium on Hamburger Straße (kick-off: 6 p.m., live on ProSieben Maxx and Joyn). This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB).

“Eintracht Stadium – here we come,” writes the DFB on X when announcing the game. The German U21 national team is currently in second place in qualifying group F with twelve points from five games. At the top of the group is Greece with an impeccable record of five wins from five games. Northern Ireland is third in the group with seven points.

The duel with the Greeks will take place on Tuesday, March 31st at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium in Athens (kick-off: 6 p.m.). The group winners and the best runner-up will qualify for the 2027 finals in Albania and Serbia. The other eight runners-up in the group will fight in the playoffs for the remaining four final places.
