On June 24, various megastars could gather at London’s Wembley Stadium for a benefit concert for Ukraine, with the whole thing broadcast worldwide. The rumor spread the British tabloid “The Sun”; The newspaper, which bases its claims on “sources”, does not reveal who is organizing the event. According to this, the organizers have already asked U2, The Rolling Stones, The Killers and Pink. Other artists should include Paul McCartney, Adele, Florence + the Machine and Noel Gallagher.

It is therefore unclear whether the Ukraine benefit will take place. The benefit concert also overlaps with the Glastonbury Festival, which will take place from 21-25 June – but that could also be an advantage as many stars tour Europe during the festival season anyway. Either way, the concert, like “Live Aid” in 1985, should generate attention – and raise donations for the victims of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.
