FC Bayern and U19 coach Peter Gaydarov will go their separate ways in the summer. The record champions confirmed this on Thursday afternoon. The 34-year-old Bulgarian, who has been working on campus for five years, wants to take his first steps in the professional field.
“Peter has enriched our youth work with great commitment and high professional quality. At FC Bayern we not only develop players, but also coaches – Peter’s path is a good example of this,” said Jochen Sauer, director of youth development. Gaydarov joined FC Bayern’s youth team from 1. FC Nürnberg in 2021 and has been coaching the U19s since 2024. He previously worked for the U16 and U17 teams, among others.
Gaydarov added: “The time at the FC Bayern Campus was an extraordinarily beautiful and personally formative time for me. I am grateful for the trust and cooperation with all those responsible, colleagues and players, with whom I have been able to develop continuously over the past five years. It is all the better that we have qualified for the finals. Now we want to reward ourselves together for the hard work of the past few months and end the season even more successfully.” Last weekend, the Munich U19s qualified for the final round of the German championship; last year the club reached the semi-finals against Bayer Leverkusen. Among other things, Gaydarov accompanied talents such as Lennart Karl and Wisdom Mike on their way to the professionals.
