How to activate typewriter font in WhatsApp
To activate the typewriter font in WhatsApp, you must put three so-called grave symbols ( ` ) before and after the text that is to be formatted. In the French language, the character is also known under the name “accent grave”. For example, if you want to write “finanzen.net” in typewriter script, you must enter “`finanzen.net“` on your keyboard in Messenger. The text then appears in the new, retro-style typewriter font.
Activating the typewriter font in WhatsApp is a little more complicated than the other fonts. For the bold typeface, just add an asterisk * before and after the text, for italic typeface an underscore _ and for the strikethrough typeface a so-called tilde ~.
