Two men have been arrested for a failed attack on a fish restaurant in Eindhoven’s Kruisstraat and explosives were found on Gerretsonplein in that city. The two 19-year-old suspects from Eindhoven are being held for further investigation. They were arrested in October, the police announced on Tuesday. More arrests are not ruled out by the police.

On the night of September 24 to 25, an explosive was found at a fish restaurant on Kruisstraat. The person who placed the explosive there was caught before he could detonate it and ran off.

The police immediately started an investigation. Later that morning, a bag with explosives was also found on Gerretsonplein in Eindhoven.

The investigation into the two cases led to the arrests of the men from Eindhoven, the police reported on Tuesday. The first arrest was on Monday, October 13, and the second arrest was on Monday, October 27.
