Two fishermen save woman from drowning

Farid Langens, rescuer: “It was a lot of cold. But at that moment you don’t feel it. Adrenaline of course. But afterwards you do feel it.”

The two smash one of the car windows with a hammer and get the woman out of the car. “We swam with her from the car to the surface and then to the ladder that colleagues had rolled out. They were already there with blankets to administer first aid.”

The car was eventually removed from the water, the driver had to go to the hospital for treatment, but is now back home. The Irish press described the fishermen as heroes.
