Two fighter planes took off from the Dutch Volkel air base on Sunday morning. The aircraft took off after something was spotted in the airspace and a so-called ‘Quick Reaction Alert’ (QRA) went off. According to Defense Minister Theo Francken, this is not a serious incident and Belgian airspace remains undamaged.
