Schiphol currently handles around twelve hundred flights. Twenty (to and from the war zone) will be cancelled. “On Sunday there were also twenty in total,” a Schiphol spokesperson explains.
Transavia: not to and from Beirut
The airport and airlines inform their travelers via their websites. For example, Transavia reports that there are no flights to Beirut in Lebanon yesterday or today. KLM does not mention that city.
“We currently see few stranded passengers in the terminals,” the Schiphol spokesperson explains. “People are well informed by the airlines. If necessary, they arrange overnight stays in hotels for stranded travelers.”
