‘Dear what I made’

When working as a result of ear disease became increasingly difficult, Stephen was very gloomy for a while. But he managed to pick up and started writing an album full of quiet, cinematic classical music.

The composer recorded the music with an orchestra in the Abbey Road Studios in London, known for The Beatles. He called the album Mount Mundane and is about overcoming setbacks and the search for happiness. “It was just like someone who loses a leg and then training hard for the Paralympic Games to win a medal,” says Stephen. “Strangely enough, this is the best I made in my career, I think.”

Appreciation for the album comes from all over the world. From people who write that they recognize themselves in the struggle to overcome setbacks or people who just think it’s beautiful music. Mount Mundane was also awarded the Global Music Award. “I made an album with quiet music that is certainly not boring,” says Stephen. “And it is also suitable for people with hearing problems.”
