Olga Temonen said on Tuesday, July 22nd that her cancer had recurred. Since 2023, Temonen has been suffering from fourth degree glioma, or brain cancer that cannot be cut.
Temonen told her Instagram account that she had new cancer treatments. Olga’s spouse, director Tuukka Temonen tells Iltalehti the background of experimental medication. Tuukka says Olga is doing well in relation to the situation.
The name of the new medication is Onc201. According to Tuuka, this is a French-east study.
Tuukka explains the drug mechanism of the drug as he has understood it.
– The cells are constantly distributed in the body. If the cell is poorly divided, that is, making a defective copy of itself, it has a self -destruction mechanism. Thus, when erroneously divided, the cell kills itself. The cancer cell does not do it, so it is divided and continues. This medicine resembles and triggers a cancer cell from the self -destruction mechanism, says Tuukka.
-There is at least one commercial version of this medicine on the market and is available from Sweden, but Olga has a French-US experiment. The experiment has been done for almost 10 years, Tuukka continues.
Olga has visited France once during the summer at a cancer clinic. He received a nine -week installment in Finland. Olga has been taking the medicine for over a month.

Olga said on her Instagram account that the drug has given promising results.
– That Olga doesn’t get worse now. We rely on the medicine. The world is known in the world with such a Swedish boy with exactly the same tumor as Olga. He has been eating that medicine for seven years now, Tuukka tells Iltalehti.
– In Finland, cancer doctors also know this drug and research, and Olga is not the only Finn to use it. After all, there are not many of them yet, but some have received that medicine, Tuukka continues.

The nine -week installment cost € 4,000.
– It’s big money, really big money. But it is moderate to significantly improve the quality of life, says Tuukka.
