In the course of the gymnastics scandal, a trainer is in court against her termination at the Swabian Gymnastics Association (StB) – but a judgment can take a long time. The background is the grievances at the Kunst-Turn-Forum in Stuttgart denounced by active and former gymnasts. The association then had personnel consequences, the trainer complained to re -hiring.

The STB had hoped to suspend the procedure until the investigation of the prosecutor has been completed. However, the judge rejected this application, as the Stuttgart Labor Court announced on Friday.

In contrast, the association can now file a complaint – with a period of two weeks after the reasoning was sent in writing. Only when this decision is final can a judgment of the trainer complain. Until then, according to the court, two or three months could pass.

Association cannot give names and data

At a public date at the labor court on Thursday, the judge found that no amicable agreement between the two parties was possible. The association, which was represented with managing director Matthias Ranke in addition to the lawyer, spoke of “massive allegations”. It is about a “double -digit” number.

The lawyer said that there were training with injuries that gymnasts were made to cry. The association side could not give any names or data. The witnesses are not ready to make the allegations public. That is why the StB hopes for the investigation by the public prosecutor and the statements made.

The opposite side rejects accusations

The opposite side rejected the allegations as “diffuse” and “flat rate” claims. There are comments from young people who refuted the allegations.

If the decision is made per trainer, the STB already announced that it is certainly a appeal to border. As a possible compensation, a sum in the six -figure area “with a three front” speaks that the trainer demands.

Heavy grievances have been denounced in the Stuttgart Art Turn Forum since the end of last year. Several former and active gymnasts had criticized “systematic physical and mental abuse” as well as catastrophic circumstances. Two trainers were subsequently released.

Public prosecutor’s office is investigating

On February 6, the public prosecutor’s office started investigations. The federal base in Mannheim was also in focus after allegations. There, the two EM-silver medalists Silja Stöhr and Janoah Müller, who speak for the squad athletes from Mannheim, have only wished for their still exempted trainers Claudia Schunk and Alina Korrmann back there.

“We experienced them very differently than they are presented to. We miss them,” said Müller of the German Press Agency. “I have not experienced any problematic situations or psychological abuse.”

The German Turner Association has used a law firm to deal with both locations. The Swabian Gymnastics Association is also continuing to deal with it.
