Turkish Handball Federation announced that the captain of the national team, Cemal Kütahya, who lives in Antakya, died together with his son Çınar Kütahya in the earthquake disaster.


The statement from the federation included the following statements:


“It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of our dear Cemal Kütahya, the captain of our National Men’s Handball Team, and his son Çınar Kütahya, who were buried under the rubble of the house where he lived in Antakya.


As the Turkish Handball Federation, we wish God’s mercy on our captain Cemal Kütahya and his son Çınar Kütahya, and we wish patience and condolences to their grieving relatives.


We will do everything we can to keep the name of Cemal Kütahya, who has successfully represented our country at the highest level for years.


Thank you, Cemal, for everything you have contributed to our country.
