The National Amputee Football Team started the tournament with a victory by defeating France 3-0 in the opening match of the 2022 Amputee World Cup, which was held for the 17th time this year. In the tournament hosted by Turkey, the goals that brought the national team victory against France were scored by Kemal Güleş in the 10th minute, Okan Şahiner in the 23rd minute and Rahmi Özcan, who was later included in the game in the 48th minute.

    Nationals for the match played at Ülker Stadium; Erdi Arslan – İsmail Korkmaz, Kemal Güleş, Savaş Kaya, Ömer Güleryüz and Okan Şahiner came out with the first 6. The Crescent-Star team, which was under pressure in the first half of the match, closed the first half ahead 2-0 with goals scored by Kemal Güleş in the 10th minute and Okan Şahiner in the 23rd minute. Continuing to play well in the second half, the national team increased the gap to 3 with the goal of Rahmi Özcan, who entered the game later in the 48th minute. When there was no other goal in the match, the Crescent-Star team won the field 3-0.

    Turkey, which managed to become the European Champion in 2017 and 2021 and the 2nd in the 2018 World, will face Liberia on Sunday, October 2 at 20.00 in the 2nd match of the 2022 Amputee World Cup Group A.
