– TURIN

Once again to the last breath. After San Siro, Torino suffered their second defeat, this time in the 93rd minute. The executioner is Alvarez, served by a Rogerio cross, who anticipates Buongiorno and insults an innocent Milinkovic Savic. Up to that moment, Toro, despite suffering more than the other games, had managed to keep up with it all in all. Dionisi’s Sassuolo played better and created more, especially in the first half when a prodigious intervention by Milinkovic prevented Frattesi from screaming for a goal that seemed already done. The Bull ran, fought, suffered but never managed to be dangerous.

SAN MILINKOVIC

In a single stroke Juric changes two consolidated dogmas: he renounces both the double attacking midfielder and a center forward. His Toro lines up in front with the two strikers, Radonjic is in line with Seck, behind there is Vlasic. Sanabria and Pellegri from the bench. In the morning Juric had lost Rodriguez (fever) and Vojvoda (muscle problems). Dionisi’s list of injuries is much longer, the Sassuolo coach has little room for maneuver in the eleven. He decides to throw the just eighteen year old D’Andrea into the trident (he has been of age since September 6), protagonist of a very good performance in his absolute debut in Serie A. In the first quarter of an hour, Toro also starts strong, with an electric Radonjic and a lively Seck. He is often lacking in concreteness and assistance on the two bands. Halfway through the race it is an ordered Sassuolo who is more dangerous, with at least three good chances. At 28 ‘Schuurs needs a life-saving intervention on Pinamonti (D’Andrea’s assist) to avoid the worst, four minutes later D’Andrea tries to turn but Milinkovic is careful. At 37 ‘a flash along the Singo-Vlasic line allows Lazaro to sign the advantage, but it is all useless for Vlasic’s offside position (signaled by the Var). In the first half final, Sassuolo’s second good chance falls on the feet of baby D’Andrea, Buongiorno is providential in the rescue. A minute later, on the corner that was created by Laurienté, a lightning from Frattesi who found the right time and space to hit the net. It practically seems like a goal, with the Olimpico suspending his breath for a fraction of a second, but (San) Milinkovic with an impressive flick, like a cat, saves the result in a prodigious way and almost gets injured as well. At the end Ayhan walls Vlasic.

HEAVY ATTACK

At the top of the hour of play, with the score and the race blocked, Juric places a triple change: out of Radonjic, Seck and Lazaro, in Pellegri, Sanabria and Aina. The Croatian thus launches a Toro with the heavy attack. The game, however, does not find the impulse to grow in rhythm, and neither team can find the cue or the play to break the balance. A second half passes, all in all, full of competitive spirit but always with correct interventions, although without particular jolts, except when Djidji badly butts a conclusion that is anything but impossible. In the end, the dealer jumps when Rogerio guesses the right assist for the newly entered Alvarez. At 93 ‘it is the header from three points.
