An umbrella is useful in the coming days for visitors to the TT parties in the city center of Assen and for visitors to the TT Circuit this weekend. Where that umbrella is needed against the rain on Thursday, it is especially useful to protect you against the sun in the days after.
The TT Festival in the city center of Assen was officially opened on Saturday, but will start with a special anniversary concert tomorrow night. The Royal Military Chapel Johan Willem Friso performs together with Emma Heesters, Marco Schuitmaker and Hendrik Jan Bökkers.
The structure of the special stage was partly in the pouring rain yesterday, but fortunately the prospects are a lot better for the concert. RTV Drenthe Weerman Gert Voerman: “We are in warmer air. In the morning it will be cloudy tomorrow, but during the course of the day the sun increases. It stays dry, even in the evening. In the evening it will stay above 20 degrees for a long time.” Great conditions for an evening enjoy music in the open air.
For the Thursday it has something completely different in store. “We are still in fairly warm air, it will be 21 or 22 degrees. But there will be a malfunction, there is a serious rain chance. There can also be thunderstorms. How active they will be, that is still uncertain,” says Voerman.
So with the performances on the Thursday of Mooi Wark, Father Mouscron and Russo, it is still very questionable whether it will remain dry. Maybe just take that rain poncho with you?
But about the days that followed, the RTV Drenthe-Weerman has better messages. Especially for the people who go to the training sessions on the TT Circuit on Friday. “On Friday and at the weekend we are confronted with the structure of high pressure. With the knowledge of today we have sunny periods and it gradually becomes warmer. I count on temperatures of 25 degrees and perhaps still on Sunday,” says Voerman. A rain race is probably not there and a cap or parasol does not seem like a superfluous luxury for the TT visitor.
