“It went great. It was very pleasant. The atmosphere was good and there were very few incidents. That is striking.” This is how Sander ten Bosch, festival director, looks back on three days of TT Festival.

He calls it striking, because after two corona years he did not know what the festival country will look like. His conclusion is that the festival landscape is very pleasant. “There were a few incidents, but that didn’t matter.”

Sander ten Bosch has noticed something else. That the festival was very lucky. “I don’t think we’ve been so lucky before.” He’s talking about the weather. “We would have rain on Friday evening. Saturday evening we would have rain. The weather has been very nice.”

Maybe even a little too nice weather. “Because of the heat, it all started a little later on Thursday. But you know that. Then people stay longer in the garden. When you walk, you start sweating. But that heat is all but peanuts with the thunderstorm we would have.”

And when the weather is nice, enough people move to the city. 40,000 visitors on Thursday, 75,000 visitors on Friday and 80,000 visitors yesterday. The police could not say whether those 80,000 visitors all behaved properly last night. Police declined to comment on any incidents last night.

Tonight is the afterparty.
