TT enthusiasts will have to be patient for a while, because the circuit in Assen must look perfect before then. The track therefore always gets a fresh coat of paint in the week before the TT.

For example, Katja Manak from Hooghalen is painting the large TT logo in the Haarbocht. A big job, which involves a lot of paint.

“I think about twenty liters for the red circuits in the logo,” she says. “That’s not too bad, but I really use the color white an extreme amount.”

In the meantime, the lines, curbstones and other large surfaces are also being painted. This is done by a specialized company from England. “I’ve been working on that for the last two or three days,” says one of the workers. “That had to be done between showers, so we are a bit behind.”
