In last year’s festivities, the protagonists of the trip to Lago Escondido, the judges Julián Daniel Ercolini, Carlos Alberto Mahiques, Pablo Yadarola, Pablo Gabriel Cayssials, the Buenos Aires attorney Juan Bautista Mahiques, the former Minister of City Security, Marcelo D ‘Alessandro, the former SIDE agent Leonardo Bergroth, the advertising agent Tomas Reinke, and the executives of Grupo Clarín, Pablo Cassey and Jorge Rendo, had a bitter toast. A few months before, the news of their controversial trip to the South had been published and then, after a hacking of Minister D’Alessandro’s cell phone, it was discovered that they tried to set up an economic justification with invoices to avoid problems.
But now, a year later, at the holidays they had a reason to celebrate: Judge Sebastián Ramos annulled the file for having been initiated due to “irregular monitoring activity” and targeted the Airport Security Police.
“It has been demonstrated in the records that there was an irregular monitoring activity that included the intervention of a Security Force and other State agencies, and that the unjustified interferences that were part of this illegal action resulted in the violation of the right to privacy. of those who have been denounced,” wrote Judge Ramos, adding that “information was produced, which was publicly provided on social networks – such as the image of the flight manifest published on Twitter -, and which ended up giving rise to replicated journalistic articles in various media.”
Due to the hacking of D’Alessandro, different files were triggered, including also the impeachment of the judges of the Supreme Court and also the investigation of the hacking that has detained the former police officer Ariel Zanchetta, accused of espionage, along with Fabián “Conu ” Rodríguez and Rodolfo Tailhade.
The Lago Escondido mansion, owned by English magnate Joe Lewis, is managed by Nicolás Van Ditmar, who in recent years began to make it available to lobbyists to do relationship and connection work with businessmen, politicians, judges and prominent people from the society. The trip that was known to Lago Escondido does not represent an exception, but the norm.
