Last week, a New York judge fined Trump for failing to respond to a subpoena from the New York prosecutor’s office to cooperate with an investigation into the Trump Organization. Trump appealed the court ruling and then asked Monday that the daily fine be suspended while the appeal is heard.
According to Trump’s lawyer, the former president has no documents that meet the requirements of the subpoena.
