WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) – US President Donald Trump wants to continue attacks on Iran until all war goals have been achieved. “The fighting is currently continuing at full force and will continue until all our objectives are achieved,” he said in a video address.
An Iran with long-range missiles and nuclear weapons poses a serious threat to every American, Trump said. “We cannot allow a nation that raises terrorist armies to have such weapons.”
Trump once again called on Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to lay down their arms. He also appealed to all “Iranian patriots” to seize the opportunity and take back the country. It’s now up to them, said Trump. “But we will be there to help.”/jcf/DP/zb
