US President Donald Trump no longer wants to be in charge of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He wrote that in one extensive message on the Truth Social platform, after a judge ruled on Friday that his name can no longer be associated with the center. The judge also ordered that his name be removed from the building.
Trump wrote that he will work with the US Congress to transfer control of the “failing” institution. The president installed himself as chairman of the center last year and had it renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center. He had wanted to save the “loss-making” center and “turn it into something everyone can be proud of,” he wrote.
In his post, Trump called the judge’s decision “shocking” and emphasized that he was “appointed by President Barack Hussein Obama.” He concluded that “no president in the history of the United States has been treated as unfairly by judges” as he.
