Antoinnette Scheulderman made quite a fool of herself at the end of 2025 by licking egomaniac celebrities on NPO 1. How Johan Derksen sees it? “The disappointment of the year!”
Well, they will never have to ask Antoinnette Scheulderman again for a complicated VPRO interview program. She was seen three days in a row during this holiday season with a program in which she gave egomaniac celebrities such as Bas Smit and Sylvie Meis an endless slime shower. And that on NPO 1, the country’s most watched TV channel.
Antoinette the best?
Antoinette went so deeply into it with the stars, we don’t even see Shownieuws do that. Like Johan Derksen, whose biography was co-written by Antoinnette, in the podcast Greetings from Grolloo When asked what he thought was the downfall of the year, he answers: “Well, I thought that was Mrs. Scheulderman’s TV program.”
Her series The Scent of Success was nothing to look at, according to the Today Inside mustache. “She made a series about people who had had success, but it was more of a series about people who became rich there. She always presents herself as the best interviewer in the Netherlands,” he says tauntingly.
Extreme qualities
Johan has seen Antoinette up close. “And I didn’t notice that she has extreme qualities and she spent twenty years lobbying to get a TV program and then she finally had a program and then she didn’t do anything with it.”
He concludes: “It was laughable, it was just embarrassing and no dog watched it. Then I don’t understand why the NPO puts such a program on prime time on NPO 1. 248 thousand viewers or something. Normally you are immediately taken off the air at an important channel for that!”
