True Religion Creates Chief Marketing Officer Position for First Time

US denim label True Religion has appointed Kristen D’Arcy to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. In her newly introduced role, D’Arcy will report to CEO Michael Buckley and will be responsible for all marketing activities for the brand, True Religion announced Tuesday.

The position of Chief Marketing Officer was created as part of the brand’s transformation into a digital-first company and is an important part of the company’s growth strategy, the release said. Bringing more than 20 years of marketing and e-commerce experience, D’Arcy’s newly created role spans content creation, creative, brand, public relations, influencer marketing, social media, partnerships and philanthropy.

“Kristen is the ideal candidate for this important position,” said Buckley. “She has a proven track record of creating business growth, fostering brand loyalty and leading high-performing teams.”

D’Arcy’s professional career includes positions at brands such as US label Ralph Lauren, where she served as senior director of marketing, and senior vice president of e-commerce and digital media at US luxury fashion label Oscar de la Renta. She also worked, among other things, as Global Head of Content and Innovation at the cosmetics group Coty.
