The series creator Nic Pizzolatto asked for any kind of feedback on the current season via Instagram.
Nic Pizzolatto, the creator of the “True Detective” franchise, has already publicly expressed his dislike for the fourth season of the HBO crime series starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis. Although he is listed as a producer of the episodes, he was not involved in the series written and produced by Issa López. Now Pizzolatto has written an Instagram post after the finale of “True Detective: Night Country” to provide a platform for anger towards the current season. The post is intended to give viewers the opportunity to share their opinions about the show.

On Instagram, Pizzolatto wrote, “This is the place for all your trolling/support/fighting against ‘True Detective’ and the absolute moral degeneracy and misogyny of anyone who didn’t like it.”
Feedback and accusations
Many took the opportunity to criticize the “True Detective” creator. For example, one user wrote, “You couldn’t write a believable female character if your career depended on it (which it doesn’t seem to, since mediocrity is rewarded).” To which Pizzolatto replied, “And yet my female lead got an Emmy nomination. “
But he also received support, with one person commenting that he had never heard him say anything negative about the season. Pizzalotto responded by saying, “They couldn’t beat me even if they had an army.”
Still, some commenters accused Pizzolatto of “spreading hate” with his post. However, he denied this: “Where did I spread hate? This is a ridiculous accusation.”
Another user noted that the new season was “solid” and had a “great ending,” noting that Pizzolatto would feel “different” about the series if it wasn’t called “True Detective.” Pizzolatto then simply said: “Glad you liked it.”
