A truck driver was injured on Monday afternoon when his truck overturned on a roundabout in Boxtel. The accident happened at the intersection of the Keulsebaan and Lennisheuvel. The roundabout has been closed due to the accident and traffic has been diverted. The roundabout is expected to remain closed all night.
The truck is loaded with frozen meat. That load first had to be removed from the truck before the car could be removed from the street. The emptying of the truck started around six o’clock. The truck fell on top of a lamppost while overturning.
The driver was removed from his cab by bystanders and taken to hospital by ambulance. The man was approachable. The truck is leaking diesel, the road surface needs to be cleaned.
Shortly after the accident, the road closure led to a lot of nuisance for road users.
