A truck overturned on the A58 around midnight on Wednesday evening. The accident happened in the direction of Tilburg, just before the Hilvarenbeek exit. The driver came from the direction of Eindhoven and skidded.
The truck combination first hit the right guardrail and then the left guardrail. Eventually the truck combination came to a stop on its side.
The driver escaped unscathed. The truck contained 17,000 pounds of furniture. The car was only a month old and suffered a lot of damage.
The police are investigating the accident.
A58 closed at night
Due to the accident, the A58 was completely closed last night from Moergestel in the direction of Tilburg. A recovery company arrived on site with heavy equipment to recover the truck and its cargo.
Traffic in the area had to take diversions and delays into account.
