On the A2 motorway an accident happened on Monday morning with a truck and several cars, Rijkswaterstaat reports. The truck involved lost its concrete slabs. Two cars caught fire due to the accident. The A2 is closed in both directions. Traffic is diverted from the Empel junction via the A59 and A27.
The accident happened around ten to half past six in the morning. The fire brigade has now extinguished the cars that caught fire. Due to the many smoke and the extinguishing work, the highway is also closed in the opposite direction. It is not yet known when the highway will be released again.
