Firefighters had to free a truck driver from his cab this evening after he had been shot straight ahead moments earlier.
This happened for unknown reasons on the Ruinerwoldseweg in Meppel. The accident closed the road for some time. There were also no trains running between Meppel and Steenwijk for some time, because trees threatened to fall on the track.
