The two Italians highlighted with 14 gold medals in the last edition of the important martial arts event carried out in China
The International Wing Chun Competition ended with an important success for Italy which saw the participation of the blue athletes, Emanuele Acerra and Maurizio Tesio for the first time. The two, enrolled in the Italian Federation of Wushu and Kung Fu (Fiwu.k.), have conquered fourteen gold medals in the various categories, demonstrating the important technical development work of the federal sector of Wing Chun. The competition, which took place in Foshan, in the People’s Republic of China was reserved for traditional Chinese martial art and saw athletes from different countries participate. Tesio defended the medals well conquered in 2024 in Foshan, while for Acerra the first experience in the homeland of Wing Chun was to remember since the thirty -seven year old from Redavalle, head of the Wing Chun Pama in Torricella Verzate, hit the gold in combat, in addition to 7 gold medals and a bronze in the various specialties of the Taolu (the empty shapes with naked hands, weapons and wooden mannequin).
