Tristan Brusch wins Soundcheck Award 2023 with “Am Wahn”.

“Am Wahn” – the fourth album by singer-songwriter Tristan Brusch – was released on March 24, 2023. When the tracks were released, he said in a press release: “You think you’re experiencing love, but you’re actually just delirious.” Now the Berlin-based musician has been awarded the Soundcheck Award 2023 for this record.

Brusch prevails against Anohni, Lankum and Sufjan Stevens

The four-person jury from radio eins and Tagesspiegel decided that “Am Wahn” is the album of the year 2023. The 36-year-old was able to prevail in the election against the current works of Anohni And The Johnsons (“My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross”), Lankum (“False Lankum”) and Sufjan Stevens (“Javelin”).

Brusch’s LP celebrates sound check presenter and jury member Andreas Müller with the words: “He has the gift of recognizing everyday stories and translating them into strong songs. […] Brusch already presented a sensational album with ‘Am Rest’, which he is now following up on two years later.”
