The contract of Stammtorfüter Finn Dahmen at FC Augsburg has automatically extended by another year until 2027. As the Fuggerstädter reported, this was done as a result of the 50th competitive game of the 27-year-old, as had been contractually stipulated. He competed against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. Dahmen came to the FCA in 2023.
“I am very pleased that my contract has been extended for another year. I am very satisfied with my current role and form. My goal is to constantly develop and to achieve the greatest possible success together with the FCA,” said Dahmen, who stayed in 16 Bundesliga games nine times without conceding conceding and set up a new club record. The keeper kept a white vest for 683 minutes.
Sports director Marinko Jurendic added: “Finn has established himself this season with convincing performance at a high Bundesliga level. With his consistently strong appearances, he has a significant part in the defensive stability and the successful course of our team. We are therefore very happy that his contract has automatically extended and Finn remains an important component of our team.” With 42 goals conceded, Augsburg represents one of the best defensive rows of the league, only four clubs undercut this value.
