The US rap artist Travis Scott has settled the lawsuit filed for the tragic accident that happened at the Astroworld concert, reports Mirror. The suit was filed by the relatives of the victim who lost his life at the concert.

Ten people died and hundreds were injured on November 5, 2021, at the Astroworld festival in Texas, when security arrangements for Scott’s concert failed and masses of people packed towards the front of the stage.

The cause of death of the victims was confirmed to be compression of the respiratory organs and thus suffocation.

The relatives of several victims have sued the artist. A total of almost two billion euros is demanded from Scott as compensation.

One of the victims is 21 years old Axel Acosta. Attorney for Acosta’s family Tony Buzzbee announced that Scott and the family had reached a settlement in the legal dispute. The terms of the agreement are kept secret.

This is reportedly the first time that the Astroworld rights dispute has ended in a settlement.

Scott is also accused of causing the miscarriage. Was at the concert Shanazia Williamson says in the lawsuit that he got stuck in the crowd. According to Williamson, as a result of the trampling, her unborn child died.

The artist withdrew from the public spotlight after the accident at Astroworld.

In July, Scott stopped his concert in New York due to a security threat and asked a spectator in the audience to come down from the stage structures.
