Most of those interested are in Pomigliano d’Arco. The company they work for has not had their contract renewed. Urso summons companies and unions on December 10th

December 7 – 12.09pm – MILAN

Trasnova continues on its path and proceeds with the collective dismissal of 97 workers employed in the Stellantis factories in Pomigliano d’Arco, Mirafiori, Cassino and Melfi. A number which – according to the unions – rises up to 400 if we consider that Trasnova in turn subcontracts some activities. It is a company based in the province of Frosinone, to which Stellantis has entrusted the contract for the logistics activity of the factories in Pomigliano (Naples), Cassino (Frosinone), Melfi (Potenza) and Rivalta (Turin) in recent years. to move the cars produced to the yards where they are loaded onto car transporters. There are 97 direct workers in total: 54 in Pomigliano, 28 in Cassino, 1 in Melfi and 14 in Rivalta. Added to these are another 300 Trasnova subcontracting employees, who are difficult to quantify precisely according to the unions. In Rivalta, for example, there are another 40 workers from the CSA cooperative to which Trasnova subcontracts the work, in Pomigliano another 35 from Logitech. The difficulty also arises from the fact that the workers have different contracts, partly in metalworking and partly in transport.

tables at the ministry

Trasnova’s dismissals were communicated to the trade unions by the company to which Stellantis did not renew the order, expiring on December 31, for logistics activities, relating to the movement of the cars produced in the yards to be loaded onto car transporters. The reassurance from Stellantis “available to reopen the discussion with Trasnova management to understand how to support the company in this phase” was not enough. On December 10th Trasnova and the unions will go to Mimit where Stellantis will also be there. The group led by John Elkann receives a strong request from the trade union and political world to return to giving priority to Italy. On 12 December the unions will see the group’s European manager Jean-Philippe Learnato in Turin, where a very crowded assembly of delegates was held, in view of the table convened for 17 December by Minister Adolfo Urso. On the Trasnova affair, the minister says “I have called the company in question, the unions and Stellantis for next December 10th to find a solution to the case”.

“explanations needed”

“Stellantis gives concrete signals on an industrial plan capable of respecting the commitments made and guaranteeing full employment, new models, valorisation of Italian production plants”, says CISL leader Luigi Sbarra. “Stellantis must explain if there is an industrial plan, if it intends to make investments in the country, if it intends to change the disastrous strategic choices of Tavares”, says Uil number one, Pierpaolo Bombardieri.
