Others rise from the car – Missy Elliott is the whole car. At least at her show at this year’s Coachella Festival, where she once again proved that she is not a passenger.
Rapper or car?
As every year, the popular festival again attracts numerous artists, celebrities and fans in the middle of the California desert. What was initially only recognizable on the stage at Missy Elliott’s appearance was gradually transformed into the rapper. During the intros of “Throw IT Back”, the Autodach, under which Elliott soon appeared and then upgraded itself. Finally she wore the elements of the car of all her parts of the body.
But her gig also had a lot to offer musically. With a total of five outfit changes, the artist performed numerous of her hits, including “Work it”, “Get Ur Freak on” and “Lose Control”.

In addition to Missy Elliott, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Charlie XCX and many other artists: inside. On Saturday, April 12th, even a politician was on stage for a while. US Senator Bernie Sanders not only announced the actual Act Clairo, but also used his platform for political issues.
Surprise guest: Inside, although as usual of musical nature, there was also on stage for her feature songs Billie Eilish, Lorde and Troye Sivan for her feature songs. Benson Boone also had a surprise with her. Together with the Queen guitarist Brian May, he performed the classic “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

The artist is considered one of the most influential women in hip -hop and especially shaped the rap in the late 90s. In addition to her own music, she also wrote songs for artists such as Beyoncé, Whitney Houston and Aaliyah. In the meantime, the release of her last album, The Cookbook, was almost 20 years ago.
