Liverpool signs Spanish winger

Liverpool are on the verge of… Spanish winger Víctor Munoz to attract. The 22-year-old winger (a right winger who can play on both flanks) was also in the interest of Newcastle United, but Liverpool has already been found willing to transfer his lump sum payment of 40 million euros to put down. Muñoz will therefore have the tough task of making Mohamed Salah forget at Anfield.

The two-time international of Spain, who is in the World Cup selection, was born in Barcelona and trained at Real Madrid. Last year he went from Real Madrid Castilla to Osasuna for 5 million euros. At the Pamplona club he scored 7 goals and 5 assists in 36 games last season.

Tim Bakens becomes head coach in Belgium

Former PEC Zwolle assistant Tim Bakens (43) becomes the new head coach of SK Beveren in Belgium. That club was promoted to the highest level undefeated earlier this year.

Bakens was last season assistant to head coach Henry van der Vegt at PEC Zwollebut decided not to renew his contract because he would like to work as ultimately responsible. He gets that opportunity in Belgium, where Bob Peeters is technical director. Bakens previously worked as Peeters’ assistant at Helmond Sport for a year and a half between 2022 and 2024.

The trainer from Duiven obtained his highest trainer’s diploma in 2024. As a player, he was active for De Graafschap for many years and he also played for RKC Waalwijk, FC Volendam, Sparta, the Swiss FC St. Gallen and SC Cambuur.

Reinforcement for RKC

Jesse van de Haar has signed a contract that gives him to RKC Waalwijk until mid-2029. The striker is thus following in his father’s footsteps Hans van de Haarwho played for RKC between 2005 and 2007.

The 21-year-old striker continued his football training FC Utrecht and previously had a successful rental period at De Graafschap. However, he was never able to make the step to the first team of the Domstedelingen. Last six months he was loaned out to SK Beveren, but he played little there. Then RKC came into the picture.

Real Madrid have confirmed the arrival of Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese midfielder comes on a free transfer from Manchester City and has… a two-year contractt signed with the Royal. Silva, who is participating in the World Cup with Portugal, could also go to FC Barcelona.

Kroes new vice-chairman of Ajax partner club LASK

Alex Kroes gets to work as vice-chairman of LASK. The reigning football champion of Austria is a partner club of Ajax, where Kroes left last season after the dismissal of John Heitinga.

“LASK has the potential to perform well not only in Austria,” Kroes said on the LASK website on Tuesday. “I want to use my experience and my contacts help the club in Europe to chart the course.”

The 51-year-old former owner of real estate agency SEG and Premier League player Go Ahead Eagles wants to help further improve the structure and culture of the club. He’ll probably take one too minority interest in the club, about which LASK does not make any announcements.

“We now need his expertise and network in Europe,” LASK president Christoph Königslehner responded to Kroes’ arrival.
