Hakan Safi, who announced his presidential candidacy at the extraordinary general assembly planned to be held in Fenerbahçe on June 6-7, came to the city as a guest of the Mardin Fenerbahçe Supporters Association and met with the congress members. Mardin Fenerbahce Association President Muhammed Diri, Mardin 1969 Sports President Rıdvan Aşar, Mardin Journalists and Writers Association President Abdulkadir Üründü and some guests attended the program held in a restaurant. Speaking here, presidential candidate Safi stated that they had transfer negotiations abroad and that they continue their negotiations today and said: “Everything is for Fenerbahçe, everything is for Fenerbahçe’s courageous days in the future. We are doing these things. Hopefully, when you come to the polls on June 7, you will come to the polls with many of the problems in your mind solved. This is what your brother promises you from here.”

‘SUPER LEAGUE SUITS MARDIN’

Drawing attention to Mardin’s football potential in his speech, Safi gave the example of Çorumspor and said, “Super League would suit Mardin too. I hope we will contribute to your journey when the time comes. Mardin also has valuable businessmen, we are meeting with all of them, thank you. Good things should happen in Mardin. After all, you have seen Çorumspor, I was also a supporter of Çorumspor, today it is in the Super League. Therefore, our distinguished cities like these, “Our ancient city needs to be higher up… This can all be done through unity. You need to be a full team. If it is our duty, we will do it,” he said.

‘I HAVE A DREAM OF ESTABLISHING 5 PILOT TEAMS FOR FENERBAHÇE’

Stating that he has a dream of establishing 5 pilot teams for Fenerbahçe, Safi said, “I have a dream of establishing 5 pilot teams in the Southeast, Eastern Anatolia, Black Sea and West. I am worried about doing these. Why? Sending the players who cannot play here to work for Fenerbahçe and to ensure that Fenerbahçe becomes a world star in the future. Therefore, we will decide where and how we will establish them by consulting together. But as I said, “There are a lot of players who want to play in Fenerbahçe. There are questions such as the foreign squad restriction and the number of foreigners. The pilot team application will bring a lot of things to Fenerbahçe and this side, to the Southeast. Hopefully, we will share these with you in the new period and I hope good things will come of it.”

‘WE WILL EXPAND OUR STADIUM TO 65 THOUSAND PEOPLE IN ITS OWN PLACE’

Noting that they prepared a stadium project for Fenerbahçe’s financial independence and to close the income gap between it and its competitors, Safi said:

“By removing the roof of our stadium and erecting the third floors made of steel around it, our stadium will be able to accommodate 65 thousand people. When it is completed, we will close this income gap for Fenerbahçe and start the match 0-0 again. After that, with a good management approach, you will see our opponent, we will pass and we will start this fight again to make Fenerbahçe the biggest again in the near future. Fenerbahçe’s indispensable stadium is for 65 thousand people. “But our focus in the first year is on the championship of the A team. We will bring the world stars Fenerbahçe needs and we will do this with the new 10+4 rule. So stay tuned. We know what we are doing, guys.
