Eintracht Frankfurt’s winger Filip Kostic has arrived at his designated new club Juventus.

In an Instagram post, Kostic said goodbye to Eintracht in the evening: “Thank you Eintracht Frankfurt for believing in me when nobody else did! I want to thank the club, all the wonderful people who work at the club I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, management, fans and the entire city for making my stay at the club and in the city unforgettable,” wrote the 29-year-old.

In return, Italy international Luca Pellegrini could move to Frankfurt on loan from Turin. According to a report by TV broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, talks between the two clubs are well advanced. Accordingly, the 23-year-old left-back is to travel to Germany on August 12 for the medical check and the signing of the contract. Pellegrini has been playing for Juve since 2019, but was last loaned to CFC Genoa.

Kostic was no longer there for the Europa League winner at the UEFA Supercup in Helsinki (0:2 against Real Madrid). Coach Oliver Glasner said a replacement would be signed on the left. Kostic played for Hessen for four years. Last summer, the winger tried unsuccessfully to force his move to Lazio by going on strike.
