Tram accident in Prenzlauer Berg – person trapped under train

On Thursday evening at the corner of Landsberger Allee and Storkower Straße, a person was hit by a tram and seriously injured.

The fire service reported the accident around 6:30 p.m.

In the serious accident, the fire brigade had to move in because the person was trapped and had to be freed.

The person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two people were shocked.

The traffic investigation service of the Berlin police determined the cause of the accident.

The fire brigade was on site with 33 forces. Tram lines M5, M6 and M8 have been suspended or diverted.

The cause of the accident was initially unclear, and there was no further information about the injured person.
