Fast trains Milan-Paris: timetables and tickets

Sncf has announced that tickets for journeys to be made from 31 March onwards are already available – starting from €29 – on the website www.sncf-connect.it . The direct connection between Italy and France will resume with three return trips per day: from Milan Porta Garibaldi at 6:00 12:10 16:10arriving at Paris Gare de Lyon at 1.30pm, 7.14pm and 11.14pm and returning from Paris at 6.46am, 9.46am and 2.48pm. Connecting Milan to Paris in 7 hours and 7 minutes and Turin to Paris in 5 hours and 39 minutesthe. The service will also connect the cities of Modane, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Chambéry and Mâconoffering a comfortable and flexible travel option along the entire route.
From April 1st it will also be possible to travel from Milan to Paris with Trenitalia. In fact, it is already possible to purchase tickets for trains in the online ticket office departure at 06:25 or 15:53 from Milan Centralearriving in Paris-Gare-De-Lyon after 6h 57min or 6h 44min with prices starting from €35. Two returns: at 07.30 from Paris-Gare-De-Lyon with arrival at Milano Centrale at 14.07 and at 15.18 with arrival at 22.07.
New menus and WiFi on board
Sncf has also announced that it will restart with an expanded offer of on-board services. Travelers will be able to experience a new Franco-Italian menu and two bartenders will offer quality personalized service. In first class, the in-seat catering service will be combined with a mobile offer available to all. Among the new features, customers will be able to access menus and orders directly online.
Free Wi-Fi and the TGV INOUI entertainment portal they also allow you to use the trip to work or spend time thanks to an available selection of films, documentaries and podcasts all in different languages; a space dedicated to children and a rich assortment of magazines (sport, culture, art, fashion).
Finally, a new in-flight cleaning service has been introduced to improve comfort throughout the journey.
While waiting, the replacement service remains
After the landslide that occurred in the Maurienne valley on 27 August 2023, SNCF Voyageurs was the only operator to maintain the rail connection between Italy and France thanks to a replacement service operational from 10 January 2024. guaranteeing the essential connection between Italy and France through a return trip per day, allowing travelers to travel between the two countries despite the partial disruption of the line.
This temporary service, essential for maintaining the link between territories, will remain operational until the complete reopening of the line, scheduled for 31 March 2025. The initiative aims to support cross-border mobility and local economies.
