Footballers work hard in the training camp, and sometimes things get hot-blooded. At Hertha BSC there was a bit too much temperament in the game – which is why coach Stefan Leitl drew conclusions.

A heated duel at Hertha BSC’s training camp had consequences: Paul Seguin and Deyovaisio Zeefuik first clashed on the pitch, then off it too. Coach Stefan Leitl sent both players off the field early.

According to “Berliner Morgenpost”, “Tag24” and “Bild”, the coach’s intervention was preceded by a duel which turned into a verbal battle. The discussion eventually moved off the field.

Leitl referred both professionals to the athletic trainer. Seguin in particular was apparently dissatisfied with this: the 30-year-old left the training ground angrily towards the hotel and complained on the way there.

The second division team in Portugal is preparing for the second half of the season until January 10th. A friendly against Standard Liège is scheduled for Friday – the first real assessment of the team’s position during the winter break.
