There was a fog on a level crossing between Beilen and Hoogeveen. The cause of the broken catenary is unclear. Photos show how parts of the cables hang down to the ground. A train has run aground near the transition. Occupants are removed from the train by ProRail.
Carrier NS uses stop buses as an alternative transport. These run between Meppel, Hoogeveen, Beilen and Assen.
