Anyone who wanted to take the train to a Christmas brunch in New Amsterdam this morning was stranded in Coevorden from the direction of Zwolle. There were no trains between Coevorden and New Amsterdam for about two hours.
According to the NS, there was a signal and switch failure on this route, which meant that travelers on the route between Emmen and Zwolle had to take delays into account.
The problems were resolved around 11.15 am and train traffic could be resumed.
