Berlin (dpa-AfX)- In the third round of collective bargaining between the train and the railway and traffic union (EVG), the discussions on the weekend continue. Since Wednesday, both sides in Berlin have been negotiating more money for around 192,000 employees. There was no agreement on Friday. Up to and including Sunday, the tariff parties have given themselves time in this round.

Warning strikes only possible from April

In terms of content, neither the railway nor the EVG commented on the state of affairs on Friday. Negotiations are being negotiated intensively. Further negotiation rounds have not yet been scheduled. If there is no agreement, it should be difficult to cope with the Bundestag election. That was actually the goal of the union.

Even if there is no agreement on the weekend, passengers can still remain relaxed at first. Due to the obligation to peace, warning strikes on rail traffic are only possible from April 1.

Among other things, the EVG calls for 7.6 percent higher wages and salaries plus an additional money of 2.6 percent for shift workers, some of which can also be converted into free days. In addition, she wants an employment guarantee by 2027. The employer recently offered a gradual tariff increase of 4 percent and additional money of 3.9 percent for shift workers. The term should be 37 months
