Perhaps the most anticipated video game of all time, GTA VI, has received its first trailer. It was also revealed that the sixth part of the game series will not arrive in stores until 2025.

The American game studio Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. It announced last week that the trailer will be released on December 5, but the video was not scheduled to be released on YouTube until today at 16:00 Finnish time.
The release happened very unexpectedly last night – just a few moments after someone had leaked the trailer to social media without permission.

The first trailer has been long and eagerly awaited. In February 2022, Rockstar confirmed that the game was coming, and that it had already been in development for years at the time. Of course, this wasn’t a big secret, because the previous Grand Theft Auto was already released in 2013.
For the first time, the protagonist of a modern GTA game is a woman, Lucia. Based on the trailer, Jason is the second playable character to complete the Bonnie and Clyde setting.
The trailer also confirms the game’s setting in a fictional modern-day Florida, which Rockstar calls Leonidas, and Vice City, which mimics Miami.

Not published until 2025
Before the release of the trailer, the game’s release date was heavily speculated on both social and traditional media.
The most hopeful expected the game to arrive as early as next year, while others calculated how long it typically takes for Rockstar to present the first trailer to the official release of the game and came to the conclusion that the work will not see the light of day before 2025.
The sixth part of the GTA game series is expected to be an even bigger spectacle than its predecessor. With sales of 200 million copies, GTA V is the second most successful game in history and one of the biggest moneymakers of all time in the entertainment industry.
It has reportedly generated nearly eight billion dollars over the years, which is a huge achievement for a product that cost more than $250 million. Kutonen’s production costs, on the other hand, have been speculated to be more than a billion dollars in total.
Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two has said that GTA VI will be released in 2025 for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The schedule for the PC version has not been announced yet.
