Disney has released the first trailer for If These Walls Could Sing, a documentary about London’s Abbey Road Studios. The film, directed by Paul McCartney’s daughter Mary McCartney, is slated for a December 16 release on the Disney+ streaming service. Abbey Road Studios in London is one of the most famous recording studios in the world, the Beatles’ eleventh album is reminiscent of the road and zebra crossing near the studio.

In the trailer, Paul McCartney remembers the footage. “We had a specific one [Klavier] used… there it is,” he says. The film doesn’t only focus on the Beatles, but includes interviews with numerous artists who recorded music at Abbey Road. “When you walk into a place that has so much history, it’s sacred in a way,” says Elton John in the trailer. “People want to come here. They want the sound of Abbey Road”.

“When I heard it was the Abbey Road Studios anniversary, it brought back so many memories for me,” says Mary McCartney the US ROLLING STONE. “I grew up visiting Abbey Road, it feels like family to me. […] It felt natural for me to explore the wealth of stories and unearth so many unheard gems that I hadn’t known about.”

The documentary is the first film by McCartney, who has primarily appeared as a fashion and portrait photographer. The trailer also includes snippets of interviews with Ringo Starr, Noel Gallagher, Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters, singer-songwriter Celeste and Star Wars mastermind George Lucas. Movie soundtracks have also been recorded at Abbey Road, including Return of the Jedi.
