On the Anas network, a company of the FS Group, for the maxi Spring bridge, on the occasion of Liberation Day and May 1st, approximately 95 million vehicles are expected from April 24th to May 3rd. The destinations preferred by tourists are the central and southern regions and the islands with particular attention to seaside destinations. A peak in traffic is expected for next week starting Thursday 30 April with increases of +6% compared to the average: in particular, peaks of +10% will be recorded in the center and in the south up to +13% in Sicily and Sardinia. The last major return is scheduled for the weekend of May 2nd and 3rd an increase in traffic of +8% on Sunday. Here are some of the itineraries involved: the A2 “Mediterranean” motorway, the A19 “Palermo-Catania” motorway, the state road 16 “Adriatica”, the state road 6 “Appia”, the state road 16 “Adriatica”, the state road 106 “Jonica” and the state road 18 “Tirrenia Inferiore”. To facilitate travel, the circulation of heavy vehicles will be suspended on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May, from 9am to 10pm.
