Joona Ikonen will move to Turku Palloseura next season. TPS informs having signed a one-year contract with the 27-year-old attacker.

Ikonen heads to Turku from Sweden, where he played for Malmö Redhawks for two seasons. From the league, Ikonen is familiar from the ranks of Ilves.

Ikonen played 340 matches in the ranks of the tassel ears, in which 199 (90+109) power points were created. In his best season, he scored 47 power points in 58 games.

In Leijon, Ikonen has played 18 A national team matches. He was part of last year’s World Cup lion crew.
